Next Steps — Choose Your Format
- On-Water Session half day to one day: skills polish, micro-teaching, and scenario work
- Video Review: submit paddling or teaching footage for detailed analysis and feedback
Atlantic On-Water Locations
- Nova Scotia: Norse Cove, Lower Prospect and St. Margarets Bay, Mahone Bay islands
- New Brunswick: Bay of Fundy venues near St. Andrews and Alma, wind and tide aware
- Prince Edward Island: North Shore and protected bays for consistent conditions
- Newfoundland and Labrador: Avalon Peninsula sites selected for shelter and access
Cold-water note: Drysuits are strongly recommended outside mid-summer. Sessions run rain or shine. We will reschedule for thunderstorms or conditions outside course remit.
Levels Offered
- Basic CM — General update with a theory focus. Ideal between teaching seasons.
- Level 1 CM — Foundational teaching refresh, rescues, group management, risk planning.
- Level 2 CM — Leadership refresh, intermediate strokes, assisted rescues, navigation updates.
- Level 3 CM — Advanced assessment strategies, leadership benchmarks, complex environments.

- Clinics meet Paddle Canada Professional Development and Certification Maintenance requirements, where applicable.
- Led by certified Instructor Trainers at the appropriate level.
- Open to current Paddle Canada instructors with active membership and dues.
- Online components enrich the experience. At least one practical step, in person or video-based, is required for certification maintenance.
- HST applies in the province where the on-water session is delivered.
